MIDDLETON lost out against Milnrow but still remain in with a chance of making the CLL's top eight, writes Steve Bott.

The Towncroft side were bowled out for 106 and the Ladybarn boys hit 110 for five.

It leaves Middleton ten points behind Clifton, five behind Monton but with only two points separating Middleton and Royton Steve Davey's men are still in there fighting.

Saturday's game at Unsworth was called off and the Seconds are in action in the Burton Cup final at Heywood weather permitting this afternoon starting at 1pm.
