The Club has received a grant from Viridor to replace the old boiler Middleton Cricket Club have been awarded a grant for the re-newal of the boiler for their heating system of £5,128.00, through Viridor Credits Environmental Company through the Landfill Communities Fund. This has been a very welcome not only for the Cricket Club but to the many groups and individuals who use our facility. Thanks to Viridor we can all profit by the reduction in gas emissions, better heating and less fuel usage. The Club had a small presentation on Saturday 12th May in which we thanked Viridor Credits, this was done in conjunction with a Blue Plague ceremony in memory of Basil D’Oliveira who first played for Middleton Cricket Club when he came to the UK. The ceremony was not advertised at the request of Basil's family.
