After the weather put paid to any play on Saturday at Towncroft it relented on Sunday at the Coppice where Middleton put in a very polished performance.
On a glorious day at Towncroft Oldham skipper Chris McDonnell won the toss and chose to bat. Oldham made a steady start and took the score to 33 when Mark Buckley had McDonnell LBW for 19. Paul Thompson and Zaffa Jatoy took the score up to 90 at a steady pace before Jatoy was caught by George Walker off Danny Core for 27.
