All Games Postponed

Friday nights 20/20 match at Heywood, Saturday's 2nd XI match at Monton & Weaste and finally the 1st XI home fixture to Monton & Weaste on Sunday were all hit by the bad weather and postponed without a ball bowled. However, the 20/20 match against Heywood at Crimble has been rearranged for this Friday (30th May) and wil start at 6.00pm.
1st XI Crash Out

The 1st XI crashed out of the Wood Cup at the first hurdle against Heywood at Crimble on Sunday. Despite restricting the hosts to what was believed to an an average 234-8 from their 50 overs, the Middleton batsmen - who had not been bowled all out all season up to this point - stumbled to a rather poor 153 all out.

Summer Fun Day

On Saturday the 14th June, the Club will be hosting a Summer Fun Day. The main event on the day will be a 6 a side cricket competition. Teams will be made up from current players, ex-players , dads , members,supporters etc. There will be a request for a small donation of £5 per player.

Also on the day there will be music throughout the day, food including a BBQ, kids competitions, face painting and more.

Overcast and muggy conditions greeted both teams for the second game of a double header weekend. Middleton would again win the toss and elect to bat on a pitch that was firm but had a slight tinge of green towards it.

The day was kick started with a bit of team bonding over breakfast at the Core family residence. And it was an outstanding full English as well leaving the door wide open for many more before seasons end. But before too long we were on our way to Milnrow for our third league game of the season.  A well conducted warm up game of fielding soccer where our captain managed his first goal of the year, which would have given him some confidence when he tossed the coin.

Middleton C.C. currently have three senior teams competing in the Penine Cricket League, and five junior teams.

Senior matches take place on the majority of Saturday and Sundays.

The Junior sides play on various nights throughout the week, as well as the Under 13s playing on Sunday mornings.

We have a function room that is available for hire all year round. For more information click here.

50/50 Club
The Club hold a weekly draw. The cost is £5 per month, and the weekly prize is £50. Anybody interested should contact Peter Collinson.
