MIDDLETON'S teenage sensation Olivia McCusker took one wicket, caught and bowled, off her five overs as she helped Lancashire Ladies beat Holland at Monton and Weaste on Wednesday, writes Steve Bott.

It was a momentous day for 16-year-old Olivia as it marked a rapid rise in her career after playing three games for the Lancashire Under 17s girls side.

Left-arm spinner Olivia, who lives in Chadderton and has been at Middleton for three years, was Middleton's only girl player when she joined the club. She won the junior side's fielding prize in her first season ahead of all the boys.
