But the Second team nearly got a game in. When the rain came Middleton needed 30 runs for victory and if the Delayed Play rule was enforced in the second division then it would have been another victory for the Moonrakers. Batting first, Unsworth were bowled out for 153 and after a couple of rain intermissions the final blow came with Middleton on 134 for 6 with 19 overs left. |



The First Eleven made a fruitless trip to Unworth's Pole Lane ground. So much rain had fallen on Friday night that a pump had been drafted in to try and make the pitch playable, but it was to no avail as the match was abandoned almost immediately.
