New Professional Ken Skewes began his Middleton career in style on Saturday with an unbeaten century and 2 wickets in a comfortable win over local friends Thornham at Towncroft. Batting first, the Moonrakers scored 206 for 5 from 45 overs, thanks mainly to the South Australians 100 not out from just 102 balls. In reply, Thornham lost wickets regularly and were eventually bowled all out for 155 with Skewes taking 2 wickets for 6 runs, and most notably the young Razz Hussain taking 4 wickets for just 26 runs in the 51 run victory.
